Flight Disruption Protocol
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Flight delays and cancellations happen — especially on domestic connections. This page explains what we do when your flight is disrupted and what you should do.
1. If your flight is delayed or cancelled
- Message us on WhatsApp first: +234 815 948 1397 (monitored 24/7 during trips). Send your name, booking reference and flight number.
- Stay near the airline counter and keep your boarding pass and any receipts.
- Do not buy a new ticket yourself before speaking to us, unless we ask you to.
2. What we do
- Contact the airline to rebook you on the next available flight.
- If a domestic delay means you will miss an international connection that we booked together, we work with the airlines to rebook the onward flight.
- Arrange accommodation for an overnight delay where the airline does not provide it; this may be charged to you or claimed from the airline or your insurance.
3. Your rights as a passenger
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) regulations give passengers rights to refreshments, rebooking or refunds depending on the length of the delay. International flights may also be covered by the Montreal Convention and the airline's own policy. We will help you make any claim.
4. Separate tickets
If you booked a connecting flight yourself, separately from your TDIS booking, the airline is not obliged to protect your onward connection. We recommend letting us book all connecting flights together.
5. Insurance
Keep all receipts for extra costs. Most travel insurance policies cover reasonable expenses caused by delays over a certain number of hours.
